"Old dogs, like old shoes, are comfortable. They might be a bit out of shape and a little worn around the edges, but they fit well." - Bonnie Wilcox 'Old Dogs, Old Friends'
Ch. Briarpatch Picture Perfect ROM
Daisy is the granddame of the pack. Together we rule the roost. Of course, she does a much better job than I ever could. She was bred and is loved by Lucy Campbell-Gracie, of Briarpatch Bearded Collies. Daisy came to live with us as an adult (Thank you, Lucy!) and it was love between us at first sight. Daisy is my heart and soul, and I simply love everything about her! Her breathtaking beauty, her irresistible grace and her queen like attitude. Now 10, she still makes my heart skip a beat every time I see her "float" around the yard. We are so in tune with one another, that it seems like she is reading my mind. She simply never does anything wrong. Daisy's pedigree is also worth mentioning. On her mother's side she is the grand daughter of "Cassie," Eng. Ch. Potterdale Classic at Moonhills. Cassie is the only Bearded Collie to win Crufts, the biggest and most prestigious dog show in the world. On the paternal side, Daisy is the daughter of Am. Can. Ch. Classical Guess Who. "Orly" is a Specialty and All-breed B.I.S. winner and was Canada's number 10 herding dog in 1991. Her paternal grandfather is the very famous Can/Am. Ch. Potterdale Double Image. Now retired from the show ring, Daisy was an accomplished show dog in her younger days. Finishing her American Championship easily, she can also add Best Puppy in Show at the 1997 Canadian Specialty Show and Winners Bitch at the 1999 Canadian Specialty Show to her bragging rights. Daisy was always owner handled by Lucy Campbell-Gracie.
